The medium is the message...and the message is "entertain me"!

2009/3/9 New Trek and Terminator trailersI've updated the trailers...you'll notice that Watchmen has been removed (on account of I saw the film on Fri...5 out of 5 stars!!!!), and I've added the latest trailers for Star Trek and Terminator: Salvation. I'm hoping the films rock, but at least the trailers do!
I'm still looking for a decent embedable trailer for Wolverine.
Enjoy. 2009/2/10 Updates to photo galleriesFinally, some long awaited updates to my photo galleries. I've managed to complete two builds since Dec (the Corripio and Bird of Prey class Warbirds) as well as making some real progress on some of my original kitbash projects the Praetor and Deathbird class Warbirds).
I'd write more in the way of details, however, I'm trying to watch Fringe...
2009/2/6 New "Star Trek" superbowl ad trailerIt's short, it's frenetically edited, it plays up the big budget action adventure, and it informed a LOT of people that Trek is back in a massive way this May. Enjoy!
Some amazing coolness to promote "Watchmen"Hey folks...the amount of creativity that director Zak Snyder has been pouring into his adaptation of "Watchmen" is staggering. Don't believe me? Check out these two viral promotion videos currently making the rounds of cyberspace.
The first one is a fictional news broadcast from 1960. The second is an educational film of the type those of us who grew up in the 70s were quite familiar with. I dare you not to watch these and marvel at the clever way Snyder has taken some of the background information from the comics, and turned them into period-authentic clips from an alternate universe.
No word yet on whether these will be incorporated into the theatrical release; my guess is "no". I'm certain there will be other featurettes coming out over the next mont leading up to the film's premiere on March 6. Most likely they'll be incorporated into the DVD release, or part of a standalone release like the forthcoming "Tales of the Black Freighter / Under the Hood" and "Watchmen: the motion comic". (http://www.amazon.com/Watchmen-Tales-Black-Freighter-Under/dp/B001QTWC0K/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1233967750&sr=8-1)
There's also some rumours that a super-deluxe"Director's Cut" of Watchmen is in the works that will have the Tales of the Black Freighter and other elements edited back into the film (I call this "pulling a Peter Jackson"...). Release format should be DVD & BluRay, but knowing my luck, an extended deluxe version will be available on BluRay exclusively.
BlueRay...I have to get me one of those newfangled contraptions that are so popular with young people today. Why does everything have to change...what was wrong with VHS?
Anyway, enjoy the clips. I'll post more if I find 'em!
2008/12/20 Apparently the new Star Trek movie was based on an old episode of the animated series....I just had to post this...I stumbled across this mashup of the audio trak for the new Star Trek trailer, and some cleverly edited scenes from the very old Saturday morning cartoon version of Trek.
Funny, clever, and for those of us old enough to remember tuning into Filmation's adaptation of Star Trek, a nice walk down memory lane too.
Enjoy!
